Recipes Using CannaBees Rescue Blend Hemp Honey

When I discovered CannaBees Rescue Blend CBD Honey the first thing I thought was, “Wow!  That’s some of the most delicious honey I’ve ever tasted!”  I have been a devoted customer for about a year now and CannaBees CBD Honey has become a staple in my day-to-day.

A great way to use CannaBees Rescue Blend CBD Honey is to use it in the recipes you already love to make.  You can add it to your favorite recipe as a regular honey substitute, or there’s the always-popular CBD honey-drizzle to top off anything and everything 

Here are a few recipes I have enjoyed trying out:

Whole Wheat CBD Honey Banana Muffins

An easy 6-ingredient whole-wheat banana muffin recipe made with natural and wholesome ingredients. A refined-sugar-free CBD honey banana muffin with whole-wheat flour, ideal for a healthy snack. This recipe makes about 24 mini muffins.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted, or extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 bananas, mashed with a fork (use the one with black spot on the skin)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup CannaBees Rescue Blend CBD Honey
  • Pinch of cinnamon, if desired
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180C (355F)
  2. Grease a 24-holes mini muffins tray or 2 tray of 12-holes mini muffins with coconut oil. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl or the bowl of your food processor with the S blade attachment, add all the ingredients in this order: whole-wheat flour, extra virgin or coconut oil, eggs, mashed bananas, baking soda, CannaBees CBD honey, and cinnamon (if desired).
  4. Blend until combined and smooth. It’s ok if you still have bits of bananas, it’s better as it adds moisture to the muffins.  If you are using a food processor it will not take more than 1 minute to prepare the batter.
  5. Spoon the batter into the muffin tray and bake for 10-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted of the center of the muffins comes out clean.
  6. Flip over the tray onto a cooling rack and cool at room temperature before eating.

You can freeze these whole-wheat banana muffins in zip bags and defrost them 3-4 hours before eating.  Store in the pantry up to 5 days in an airtight container.

Finally, note that this recipe is very versatile and you can create many different flavors like:

  • Chocolate Chips Banana Muffins – add between 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup chocolate chips
  • Blueberry Banana Muffins – add 1/3 cup frozen or fresh blueberries 
  • Cinnamon Banana Muffins – add 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Roasted Carrots with CBD Honey Butter

Simple roasted carrots tossed in a light honey butter sauce makes an incredible side dish! 

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ pounds carrots (peeled or unpeeled)
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon CannaBees Rescue Blend CBD Honey
  • Freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut the carrots in half width-wise (as in, through the middle). Then cut them vertically into halves or even quarters to form long, uniform pieces.
  2. On a large, rimmed baking sheet, toss the carrots with the olive oil and salt. Spread them into a single layer and roast, stirring halfway, until browned and tender, about 33 to 40 minutes, depending on their size. If they get a little too done at the tips, just pinch off those pieces before serving.
  3. When the carrots are nearly done, make the CBD honey butter. In your smallest saucepan or small skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and cook, swirling the pan occasionally, until just faintly golden, about 2 minutes. Remove the pan from heat and stir in the CannaBees CBD honey.
  4. Transfer the roasted carrots to a serving bowl or platter while still hot and pour the CBD honey butter over them. Toss to coat, season with a sprinkle of pepper, and serve immediately.

This recipe yields enough for 2 to 4 side servings, so you may want to double the recipe—just use two pans in the middle and upper third of the oven, and swap them halfway through cooking.

4-Ingredient CBD Peanut Butter Granola

This CBD peanut butter granola is made with just 4 ingredients, in only 10 minutes of prep time. It’s crisp and lightly sweetened, with just the right amount of peanut butter flavor. You will want to eat this homemade CBD peanut butter granola by the handful!

Ingredients
  • 5 cups (430g) old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup CannaBees Rescue Blend CBD Honey
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees F.
  2. Place oats in a large bowl. Combine CannaBees CBD honey and peanut butter in a liquid measuring cup. Heat in the microwave for about 45 seconds, until the peanut butter starts to melt. Whisk peanut butter and honey to blend. Add in vanilla and whisk to incorporate.
  3. Pour the CBD peanut butter mixture over the oats and stir until well combined. Spread granola in an even layer on a rimmed baking sheet (line the baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean up). Bake for 20 minutes, stir, and then press granola into an even layer on the baking sheet. Bake 10-15 minutes more until granola becomes light golden brown.
  4. Let cool completely on baking sheet. The granola will become crisp as it cools. Store granola in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
